Books Used For World of Warcraft

Books are probably the best tool and resource to teach your self more about anything and WOW is not an exception. In order to be successful at warcraft you are going to need several tools in your arsenal and books with references need to be included.

I have used books and articles to research things I am interested my entire life. I have used them for school, recreational enjoyment, and I have used them to learn more about Warcraft. There is no lessons on “how to” use a book except when you are stuck on something and you need a little help pull it out and get some help. I used books in order to better my character or simply learn more about the game itself.

Just as friends and fellow warcraft community members can help you solve your problems there are several books and articles that people have written from there experience that will help you improve your game play.

Moving on, to how to effectively use a book; the best way is not to read it cover to cover. The best way is to use it as a resource. When you first buy a book maybe skim it so you know what its about and you know where parts of it are, but the best way to use a book is when you have a problem look at the table of contents or look at the index and try to find a subject that is related to the problem you are having. That way you can concentrate on the information you need most.

Think of any book as an encyclopedia. I have never met anyone who has read an encyclopedia from cover to cover. When you pick up an encyclopedia the first thing you do is look for the topic that you are researching. Use this same strategy with any WOW book. The entire book will very rarely be useful to you. Pick and choose what you want to read. If you’re the type of person who likes to mark books use sticky notes and put them on pages with little notes that will remind you of what that section is about. If you like to highlight use a high lighter and mark sections of the book so you will quickly find them. Personally I use sticky pads to mark books because I don’t like to mark up books. When you are playing have the book near you so maybe it will remind you of something that otherwise you would not think of.

Books are a very valuable tool to be used and should never be neglected. I have read so many posts where people are claiming to be “the best”, but then I think of something I read and realize that there not the best since here is a book that show’s you how to do something better. If you really want to be “the best” read books and they will guaranteed to make you better than the person who didn’t read one.
